Celtic’s last warmup before the first Champions League qualifier was a stroll in the sun in Dublin.
A strong lineup played for just over an hour by which time they were five up through goals from Dembele, Edouard (2),McGregor (2). Ten changes at that point inevitably broke the rhythm a bit.
Stand-in captain Scott Sinclair scored a brilliant sixth after linking with Ryan Christie and Lewis Morgan ended a lung-bursting run with a fine finish to make it seven. Sinclair then hit the post but Celtic couldn’t quite natch the nine they got against the same opponents last year.
